Councils are continually innovating to step up to significant environmental, economic and community wellbeing challenges. Launching soon, the new MAVlab Awards will celebrate the innovative projects and people in Victorian local government.

Innovative work in local government requires a combination of imagination, tenacity and expertise. Despite this extra special combination of skills, there are limited opportunities for the public sector to gain recognition for their work.

The MAVlab Awards will spotlight the innovative achievements of local governments and the individuals that deliver high impact work in support of their communities.

Nominations for great projects and people to be showcased in the inaugural 2025 MAVlab Awards will open soon.
