A new era of insight and innovation
The MAV has recently prepared and released a new Strategic Plan which will guide its operations over the next 4 years. This plan will allow the MAV to continue to evolve and enable us to provide improved and targeted support our sector needs to thrive.
As part of our continued evolution, MAV Technology will cease operations on 30 June 2024.
Given the implementation of MAVlab, which includes innovative approaches to technological challenges experienced in the sector, and the consistent approach to MAV learning and events activities it was determined that this is the best course of action.
We offer our thanks and support to the MAV Technology team - Jean, Jill, and Shauna - and others from the sector who have supported MAV Technology throughout the last 20 years.
The team moved across to a refreshed Learning and Events team, known as "Sector Engagement and Development" on 24 June. This new team will deliver activities and events for the MAV, as well as a renewed focus on learning and development for the sector.
It's an exciting time for the sector as we prepare for the launch of MAVlab on 2 July in Canberra. This will be an informal opportunity to share some new updates about our work and the exciting ways we will be supporting Victorian councils with the new MAVlab innovation lab. We will have more information to share with you in the coming days.
